About Luneia
Hi, I’m Iván.
Luneia started at my own desk.
It’s a small, independent project — one person, a lot of late nights and a simple idea: make the kind of focus session I needed and couldn’t find.
For years I thought I was just bad at starting.
I’d sit down with a clear plan. I knew exactly what I had to do. And then twenty minutes would disappear into tabs, the phone, a playlist, one more coffee. Not because I didn’t care — because getting into the task felt like pushing against a wall.
When I found out I have ADHD, a lot of that suddenly made sense. It didn’t fix anything on its own, but it changed the question. Instead of “why can’t I just focus?”, it became “what makes starting a little easier for me?”
Then I found a sound.
Around that time I started trying anything that might help — apps, lists, rules, silence. One night I put on brown noise almost as a joke. A deep, steady rumble. Nothing to follow, no lyrics, nothing changing.
It sounds too simple, but for me it made a real difference. The noise around me faded into the background, my head got a little quieter, and sitting down to work stopped feeling like a fight. Add a timer that decides when to work and when to rest, and suddenly I was finishing blocks I used to avoid all evening.
So I started making the sessions I wished existed.
Luneia began as the timers I made for myself: clear rhythms like 25/5 or 50/10, a steady sound, no music, no clutter. Then other people started using them, and asking for more — a longer block, a different sound, a version with only the alerts. Today there are new sessions almost every day, and many of them exist because someone asked in the comments.
I still make everything myself: the sounds, the timers, the videos, this site. It’s a small corner of the internet, and I want it to stay calm, useful and human.
What Luneia tries to be
Less noise. Fewer decisions. One block at a time.
- 01Useful before impressive
Every session should help you start or keep going. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t need to exist.
- 02No music, no clutter
Nothing to follow and nothing to skip. The sound stays in the background, where it belongs.
- 03Different brains, different tools
Short blocks, long blocks, deep noise, rain or only the alerts. You pick what fits today.
- 04Made with the community
New rhythms and sounds come from what people ask for. Every comment is read.
